Pusar, Ana (1954– )

Slovenian soprano. She studied in Ljubljana where she sang from 1976, as Rosina, Desdemona, Poppea, and Manon. She sang at the Berlin Komische Oper (1979–85) and appeared as the Marschallin at the opening of the Semperoper, Dresden, in 1985. From 1986 she performed at the Vienna Staatsoper, as Donna Anna, Arabella, and Agathe. She sang Strauss's Daphne at Munich, and Sieglinde at Bonn (1992). She returned to Ljubljana in 1993, as Elisabeth de Valois.
