quantum chromodynamicsIn physics, a theory describing the interactions of quarks, the elementary particles that make up all hadrons (subatomic particles such as protons and neutrons). In quantum chromodynamics, quarks are considered to interact by exchanging particles called gluons, which carry the strong nuclear force, and whose role is to ‘glue’ quarks together. The mathematics involved in the theory is complex, and, although a number of successful predictions have been made, the theory does not compare in accuracy with quantum electrodynamics, upon which it is modelled. colour grand unified theory Gross, David Jonathon Politzer, Hugh David quark standard model Wilczek, Frank | 00 Hardcover QC174 This work presents original research on continuum quantum geometric path integrals applied to Yang-Mills theory and variants, such as QCD, Chern-Simons theory, and Ising Models. You didn't need QCD to find out how heavy protons are. Had the QCD error been corrected prior to the actual NIST publication in 2007, it rather easily could have been evenly adjusted to h626/e489; though questioning its coherency in the last 3-digits of a with respect to the comparative 02 and 98 data. |
