Québec Conference

Two conferences of Allied leaders in the city of Québec, Canada, during World War II. The first conference in 1943 approved British admiral Mountbatten as supreme Allied commander in Southeast Asia and made plans for the invasion of France, for which US general Eisenhower was to be supreme commander. The second conference in September 1944 adopted plans for intensified air attacks on Germany, created a unified strategy against Japan, and established a post-war policy for a defeated Germany.
