Quonset Point

Peninsula on the western shore of Narragansett Bay, south-central Rhode Island. Quonset Point is situated within North Kingstown township, Washington County. Once a resort area, it is now the site of a naval air station, a naval construction centre, and a major General Dynamics facility connected with the Electric Boat nuclear submarine shipyard in Groton, Connecticut.
