Róźycki, Ludomir (1883–1953)

Polish conductor and composer. He studied with Noskowski at the Warsaw Conservatory and with Humperdinck in Berlin. In 1912 he became conductor at Lviv, and later lived by turns in Warsaw and Berlin.

Opera and stage

the operas Bolesław the Bold (1908), Medusa (1911), Eros and Psyche (1916), Casanova, Beatrice Cenci (1926), The Devil's Mill (1930); ballet Pan Twardowski.

Orchestral and chamber

symphonic poems Bolesław the Bold, Anhelli, and others; prelude Mona Lisa Gioconda and ballad for orchestra; piano concerto in G minor; string quartet (1916), piano quintet (1913), piano music, songs.
