Rab

Island in the Adriatic Sea, off the north coast of Dalmatia; area 155 sq km/60 sq mi; population (2001) 9,500. It belongs to Croatia. The main products are wine, fruit, and silk. The capital, also called Rab, has a Venetian palace and a 15th-century cathedral.
