Rabi, Isidor Isaac (1898-1988)

Russian-born US physicist who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1944 for the development of techniques to measure accurately the strength of the weak magnetic fields generated when charged elementary particles, such as the electron, spin about their axes.
