Rabin, Shira (1970– )

Israeli violinist. She studied at the Juilliard School with Dorothy DeLay and made her debut with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 1979. She has since toured widely with the orchestra in Europe, Israel, and Canada and made appearances with Henryk Szeryng and Isaac Stern in Israel and New York. She has appeared with the Philadelphia Orchestra under Muti (her US debut in 1992) and with the Pittsburgh Orchestra under Lorin Maazel.
