Racine County

County in southeast Wisconsin; area 868 sq km/335 sq mi; population (1990) 175,000. Its administrative headquarters is Racine. Traversed by the Fox and Root rivers, it is mainly agricultural. Dairy items, livestock, vegetables, corn, and oats are produced. There is substantial manufacturing at Racine and Burlington. The county also contains a number of lake resorts.
