Most of the seasonal fruits supplied to the local market from the Malakand sub-division including Apricot fresh, Apple, Peaches, Plum and seasonal vegetable including Raddish, Onion, tomatoes, Okra (lady finger), Garlic, Corn, Bitter Gourd, Ridge Gourd, Spinach, Mulberry, Fig, Chilli, Cauliflower and Cabbage. A syrup prepared by mixing a teaspoon of fresh raddish juice with an equal quantity of honey and a little rock salt , is beneficial in the treatment of this disease. For example, each colour means something: carrot and raddish mean 'celebration', yellow kombu [seaweed] is for new year's eve because it means 'happy', or 'to laugh'. |
