Ragnarök

In Norse mythology, the ultimate cataclysmic battle that would be fought between the gods and forces of evil, and from which a new order would come. In Germanic mythology, this is known as Götterdämmerung.

In the rebirth of heaven and earth, the god Balder would return from Hel, land of the dead, along with Hoenir another of the Aesir (warrior gods). Two beings, Lif and Lithrasir, would repeople the Earth.
