Ramelli, Agostino (c. 1537-c. 1608)

Italian engineer. He worked in Italy and France and was for several years military engineer to Gian Giacomo de' Medici in Florence. He published Le diverse et artificiose machine 1588, an illustrated guide to a wide range of machines, many of them his own inventions.
