Rapoport, Judith Livant

Rapoport, Judith Livant (1933– )

US child psychiatrist. She became chief of the child psychiatry branch, National Institutes of Mental Health in 1984, and was the author of The Boy Who Couldn't Stop Washing 1989. Her research has covered aspects of child psychiatry, including diagnosis, hyperactivity, paediatric psychopharmacology, and the obsessive-compulsive disorder.

She was born in New York City.
