Rayam, Curtis (1951– )

US tenor. He studied in Miami and made his debut there in 1971 in Manon Lescaut. His European debut was at Wexford in 1976, in Giovanna d'Arco; he returned to Wexford as Wilhelm Meister in Mignon by Thomas. Other notable performances include the role of Olympion in the US first performance of The Ice Break (Boston, 1979); Alcina (La Scala, Milan, 1985); Jommelli's Fetonte (La Scala, Milan, 1988); and Arnalta in Poppea (Schwetzingen Festival, 1993).
