Opera by Austrian composer Giuseppe Bonno (libretto by Metastasio), produced in Vienna at the Schönbrunn Palace, on 13 May 1751. The story concerns the shepherd Amyntas who is revealed to be the heir of Sidon but is willing to give up the throne to marry Elisa. King Alexander of Macedonia allows him both a crown and a wedding.

Opera by Christoph Willibald von Gluck (libretto ditto), produced at the Burgtheater, Vienna, on 8 December 1756.

Opera by Mozart (libretto ditto), produced in Salzburg on 23 April 1775.
