Reculver

Village on the north coast of Kent, England, and the site of the Roman fort of Regulbium; population (2001) 7,900. A 7th-century church was enlarged in the 12th century with two towers and a west front, which are all that remain. They act as a guide to shipping approaching the Thames estuary. In the 19th century much of the church's fabric was removed to St Mary's at Hillborough.
