Redgrave, Lynn (1943– )

English-born stage and screen actor, a US citizen from 1998. She first rose to prominence in Georgy Girl (1966). She starred in the acclaimed Australian film Shine (1996) and featured in the UK television series Rude Awakening (1998). She received the 1999 Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film Gods and Monsters (1999); she featured in The Next Best Thing (2000), and in David Cronenberg's Spider and the UK film Anita and Me (both 2002).

She has worked extensively on US television, featuring prominently in US Weight Watchers advertising campaigns. She is the daughter of Michael Redgrave and sister of Vanessa Redgrave.
