Reedley

Town in Fresno County, central California; population (1990) 15,800. It is situated on the Kings River, in the San Joaquin Valley, 32 km/20 mi southeast of Fresno. An agricultural centre, it produces and ships fruits, olive oil, and wine. Kings River Community College (1926) is in the town. Kings Canyon and Sequoia national parks are 48 km/30 mi to the east.
