Reeves, Vic

    0.01 sec.

Reeves, Vic (1959- )

English comedian and writer, famous for his surreal humour. He met his screen and writing partner Bob Mortimer in 1986 whilst running a comedy club in Deptford, London, England. In 1990 the comedy programme Vic Reeves' Big Night Out was screened by the Channel 4 television network, and joined the ranks of cult television. This was followed by a move to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) with The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer in 1992, and a comedy celebrity quiz show, Shooting Stars, in 1995. In 1999 the duo made a comedy sketch series, Bang Bang it's Reeves and Mortimer, and were given a prime time television slot to make Families at War, a show in which rival families could show their talents. Vic Reeves has also had minor success as a pop star, the highlight of which was a number one hit with ‘Dizzy’ in 1991.
