ROI

Ratio used to determine how efficiently a company's assets have been put to work, that is the effectiveness of a company's efforts to make a profit. It is calculated by dividing the earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) by the total net operating assets, and then multiplied by 100 to give a percentage. The higher the ratio the greater the return on the assets.
