Reich, Willi (1898-1980)

Austrian music author and editor. He studied at Vienna University and also with Berg and Webern. He founded and edited the review 23 in 1932, but in 1938 went to Switzerland, settling at Basel. He published a study of Berg's Wozzeck and worked with Krenek and Theodor Wiesengrund-Adorno on a biography of the same composer, later producing independent works on Schoenberg and Berg.
