Remote Desktop Protocol

Communications protocol through which servers running Microsoft's Windows NT Terminal Server software communicate with thin clients which may be running Microsoft Windows CE operating system. While Microsoft provides a Microsoft-to-Microsoft system, firms like Citrix provide connectivity with non-Microsoft systems.
