digital root

A digit formed by adding the digits of a number. If this leads to a total of 10 or more, the resultant digits are added. For example, finding the digital root of 365 involves the following computations: 3 + 6 + 5 = 14, followed by 1 + 4 = 5. The digital root of 365 is therefore 5.
