Respighi, Elsa (1894–1996)

Italian singer and composer. She was a pupil of Ottorino Respighi at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome and married him in 1919. She finished the orchestration of his opera Lucrezia and wrote three of her own. She also wrote choral works, a symphonic poem, a dance suite for orchestra, songs from the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám, and many other pieces.
