Rexroth, Kenneth

Rexroth, Kenneth (1905–1982)

US poet, writer, and painter. He is best known for his critical essays and his naturalistic erotic poetry.

He was born in South Bend, Indiana. He studied at the Art Institute in Chicago, then at the New School of Social Research and the Art Students League in New York City. He moved to Santa Barbara, California, in1958. He had several occupations, including journalism.
