Reynolds, Burt (1936- )

US film actor and director who excels in adventure films and comedies. He is known for doing his own stunts, since he started his career as a stuntman. His films include Deliverance (1972), the cult film White Lightning (1973), Hustle (1975), City Heat (1984), and Boogie Nights (1998), for which he was nominated Best Supporting Actor. He has directed several films, including Sharkey's Machine (1981).

He also appeared from 1991 as the lead in the television comedy series Evening Shade.
