Reynolds, David Parham

Reynolds, David Parham (1915– )

US metals executive whose innovative marketing – including the introduction of Reynolds Wrap (1947), aluminium soft-drink cans, and inexpensive metal recycling – created major growth in the post-World War II aluminium industry.

He was born in Bristol, Tennessee. He joined the family firm, Reynolds Metals Co., in 1937, being variously chairman and chief executive 1976–88.
