Reynolds, Robert Rice (1884-1963)

US senator who served (Democrat, North Carolina) 1932-45. As chairman of the Senate Military Affairs Committee and a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, he opposed the USA entering World War II.

He was born in Weaverville, North Carolina, and trained as a lawyer.
