Reznikoff, Charles (1894-1976)

US poet and writer who was noted for his spare poetry of the objectivist school. He often dealt with the role of Judaism in his life, as in Poems 1937-75 1977.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York. He studied at the University of Missouri 1910-11, settled in New York City, and earned a law degree from New York University in 1915. He worked in publishing for much of his life.
