Rhondda

Two rivers of south Wales – Rhondda Fawr and Rhondda Fach. They unite at Porth and enter the Taff at Pontypridd. Their valleys form a series of linear settlements which were once an important coal-mining area. In 1924 it contained 40 collieries.

Pam Wells Abertridwr, Caerphilly ON OCTOBER 10, Handel's Messiah was performed at Rhondda Fach Sports Centre in aid of Ty Hafan.
The development, just south of the Rhondda Valley, will also include a golf course and club, restaurants, a six-screen multiplex cinema, a hospital and hotel, health spa, shops, and business parks.
A HOUSING association based in the Rhondda Valley has won a top industry award.
