Ricciardo e Zoraide

Opera by Rossini (libretto by M F B di Salsa), produced at the Teatro San Carlo, Naples, on 3 December 1818. The story concerns Zoraide, daughter of Prince Ircano. She falls in love with Christian Knight Ricciardo, but the tyrant Agorante also has designs on her. The couple are captured by Agorante but are saved following a revolt.
