Riccio, (Antonio) Teodoro (c. 1540–after 1599)

Italian composer. After holding the post of choirmaster at a church at Brescia, he was appointed music director by the Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach. He settled there and followed the margrave to Königsberg in 1579, having become a Lutheran, and returned to Ansbach with his patron in 1586. Johann Eccard served under him there from 1581 and succeeded him at his death.
