Rice, Tim(othy) Miles Bindon (1944- )

English lyricist. He has collaborated extensively with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, writing the lyrics for three of Webber's early musicals - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (1968), Jesus Christ Superstar (1970), and Evita (1976). His work with other composers includes the lyrics for Chess (1984) and the Disney film The Lion King (1994), with music by Elton John. He was knighted in 1994.
