Richland Center

Town and administrative headquarters of Richland County, southwest Wisconsin; population (1990) 5,000. It is situated 84 km/52 mi northwest of Madison. Settled in 1849, it is in a region of dairy and livestock farms, fruit orchards, and stands of hardwood. It is the birthplace of architect Frank Lloyd Wright, whose early A D German Warehouse is in the town.
