Richter, Ferdinand (Tobias) (1651-1711)

German organist and composer. He was appointed court organist in Vienna, succeeding Poglietti, in 1683, and music teacher to the Imperial children.

Works

serenatas L'istro ossequioso (1694) and Le promesse degli dei (1697); sacred dramas for the Jesuit College; sonata for seven instruments and others in eight parts, balletti in four and five parts; organ toccatas and other works; suites for harpsichord.
