Richter-Haaser, Hans (1912–1980)

German pianist. He studied in Dresden and made his debut there in 1928. International recognition did not come until 1953 and he was then heard widely in Europe and North and South America, often playing Schumann and Beethoven. He played in the USA 1959–74 and was also active as a conductor and composer.
