Rickey, George Warren (1907-2002)

US sculptor who is known for his outdoor kinetic sculptures, often in polished aluminium, with parts that swing around a fulcrum in response to breezes.

Born in South Bend, Indiana, he studied at Trinity College, Scotland 1921-26, at Oxford 1926-29, and in Paris 1929-30. He taught widely in the USA but was based in East Chatham, New York.
