Ritter, Tex Woodward Maurice (1905-1974)

US singer and actor. He was popular as a singing cowboy in B films in the 1930s and 1940s, with more than 50 film credits, including Arizona Trail (1943). He sang the title song to High Noon (1952).

He was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1964.
