Tisza

Major tributary of the River Danube, rising in the Carpathian Mountains in Ukraine and flowing through Hungary to Serbia; length 967 km/601 mi. The Tisza joins the Danube (Dunav) 40 km/25 mi east of the city of Novi Sad in the Vojvodina area of northern Serbia.
