Towy

River in Wales, rising in the Tywi hills between Ceredigion (Cardiganshire) and Powys; length 111 km/69 mi. It flows south, passing Llandovery and Carmarthen, and enters Carmarthen Bay at Llanstephan. Sailing, game fishing, and commercial cockle-fishing take place in the estuary.
