Robbins, Julien (1950- )

US bass. He studied with Nicola Moscona in New York and made his debut at Philadelphia in 1976, in Un ballo in maschera. He sang in Miami, Washington, and Chicago; at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York from 1979, as Ramfis, Gremin, and Masetto; and at the Deutsche Oper, Berlin from 1992, as Don Giovanni, Escamillo, and Timur. In 1992 he took part in the premiere of The Voyage by Philip Glass.
