Robinson, Faye (1943– )| US soprano. After study in New York she sang with the City Opera there from 1972, as Micaela, The Queen of Shemakha (Golden Cockerel), Violetta, and Liù. She made her European debut at Aix in 1975, in Der Schauspieldirektor and La serva padrona. In 1982 she sang at the Paris Opéra, as Gounod's Juliette; in 1984 in the 1984 Boston first performance of Tippett's The Mask of Time; and in 1988 at Cologne, as Constanze. |
