Robinson, Forbes (1926–1987)| English bass. After study at La Scala, Milan, he sang at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London from 1954. He created the title role in King Priam (Coventry, 1962) and was Moses in the British first performance of Moses und Aron (1965). Other roles included Boris, Claggart, and Don Giovanni. His concert repertory included oratorios by Handel and Walton. |
