Robinson, Jason Thorpe (1974- )| English rugby league and rugby union player. A winger renowned for his running and tackling, he made his Great Britain rugby league debut in 1993, just a year after making his senior club debut with Wigan. In November 2000, he switched to rugby union and scored a try on his debut for Sale. In February 2001, he made his international union debut in England's Six Nations match against Italy. In doing so he became only the second player, after Barrie-Jon Mather, to represent England in both rugby league and rugby union. Despite having just three international caps with England, he was selected for the 2001 British Lions tour to Australia where he played in all three Tests and scored two tries. In 2003 he helped England to win the Grand Slam in the Six Nations Championship and the World Cup in Australia. |
