Rocco, Alfredo

    0.12 sec.

Rocco, Alfredo (1875–1935)

Italian Nationalist theorist and later Fascist politician. An academic lawyer, he achieved prominence within the Italian Nationalist Association on the eve of World War I. The association merged with the Fascists in 1923, and Rocco served as minister of justice from 1925 to 1932. In this capacity he played a major role in constructing the institutional framework of the Fascist state in accordance with his openly elitist and authoritarian ideas.
