Rocklin

Town in Placer County, northeast California; population (1990) 19,000. It is located 29 km/18 mi northeast of Sacramento. Once a largely Finnish granite-quarrying community, and a fruit shipping centre, it grew quickly in the 1980s as a residential suburb. Sierra College (1914) is in the town.
