Rockwell, Willard Frederick, Jr (1914–1992)

US industrialist. In a long career in family-owned companies, he created Rockwell International, a major aerospace conglomerate best known under his leadership for its work on the US Apollo space programme. He founded Astrotech International Corporation in 1981 to promote commercial applications of space exploration.

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts.
