Rocky Hill

Town in Hartford County, central Connecticut; population (1990) 16,600. It is situated on the Connecticut River. A suburb of Hartford, it was an important river port in the 18th century. Today it is home to corporate and state offices, and produces firearms, chemical coatings, and metal products. Dinosaur State Park preserves tracks found in 1966 during a construction project.
