Rocky River

Town in Cuyahoga County, northeast Ohio; population (1990 est) 20,400. It is situated on Lake Erie at the mouth of the Rocky River, and is a residential suburb 13 km/8 mi west of Cleveland city centre. There is some light manufacturing.

Rocky River

River in northeast Ohio; length 16 km/10 mi. It is formed by two branches at Olmsted Falls, and flows north-northeast, through the west suburbs of Cleveland, to Lake Erie at Rocky River. The west branch rises near Medina and flows 40 km/25 mi north to the junction with the east branch, which is 53 km/33 mi long, and rises south of the Hinckley Reservation.
