Rodelinda

Opera by Handel (libretto by Antonio Salvi, adapted by Nicola Francesco Haym), produced at the King's Theatre, Haymarket, London, on 13 February 1725. In the story, Rodelinda, wife of the usurped King Bertarido, agrees to marry Grimoaldo to save her son Flavio. Bertarido returns to see Rodelinda and is captured. Unolfo rescues him, and Bertarido kills the rebel Garibaldo before assuming the role of king again.
